Anyhow, So I was attending the GSA-Boogertman+Partners International Lecture Series 2018 at the Maboneng Precinct in Johannesburg. Alejandro Aravena ,a Chilean architect from Santiago was the main speaker. He is executive director of the firm Elemental S.A. He won the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2016. He was the director and curator of the Architecture Section of the 2016 Venice Biennale (

Never Despise the Day of Small Beginnings
That quick overview is to try and show you that this man is an authority in the design field and a re-noun architect all over the world. So obviously, its only natural that I shrunk next to this great architect of our time, I'm not really as small as I look standing next to him (lol); he's really that big (international to be exact). It was a really awesome and informative talk on how to approach urban design and low cost housing, great crowd, great venue, great talk, networking and of course selfies with the man himself :)
